Xiaofei Fan is a Professor at the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Hebei Agricultural University. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in electronic information engineering from the Civil Aviation University of China in 2002, a master’s degree in biomedical engineering from Tsinghua University in 2005, and a master’s degree in statistics and a doctorate in biomedical engineering from the University of Missouri in 2009. From September 2009 to March 2010, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in biomedical engineering at the University of Missouri. He worked as a Mid-Level R&D Manager at the Monsanto headquarters in St. Louis, USA, leading a team of Doctoral Engineers to develop smart agricultural technology, and presided over and participated in the R&D of 22 projects, 6 of which were projects with an investment of more than one million US dollars. He is a Third-Level Talent introduced by Taihang Scholars and was selected for the “Hundred Talents Program” for the introduction of high-level overseas talents in Hebei Province. His research direction is agricultural artificial intelligence. He specializes in machine vision, machine learning, and image processing, and is a Senior Expert in the field of digital agriculture.
