Prof. Dongmei Yan is a researcher at the Institute of Viral Disease Prevention and Control, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and a master's supervisor in pathogenic biology. She graduated from the clinical department of China Medical University with a bachelor's degree and from the pathogenic biology department of Peking University Health Science Center with a master's degree. She has won the third prize of the Chinese Medical Association and the second prize of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association. Her main research direction is the applied basic and basic research related to the prevention and control of enterovirus diseases such as poliomyelitis; hand, foot, and mouth disease; and hemorrhagic conjunctivitis.
