Prof. Dr. Michele Ruta is a Full Professor at the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering, Polytechnic University of Bari. He received a Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Bari in 2002 and a Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2007. He has co-authored more than 160 papers in international journals and edited books and conferences. He is involved in international and national research projects and is a Program Committee member of several international conferences and workshops. He is also an editorial board member of journals in areas related to his research interests. His research interests include pervasive computing and ubiquitous web, knowledge representation systems, and applications for wireless ad hoc contexts.
Prof. Dr. Floriano Scioscia is an Associate Professor at the Information Systems Laboratory (SisInf Lab), Polytechnic University of Bari. He received his Master’s Degree in Information Technology Engineering with honours from the Polytechnic University of Bari in 2006, and his Ph.D. in Information Engineering in 2010 from the same institution. He has co-authored about 110 papers in international journals, edited books and conferences, and was a recipient of the Best Paper Award of the ICEC-2007 and SEMAPRO-2010 conferences. His research interests include knowledge representation systems and applications for pervasive computing, cyber-physical systems, and distributed ledger technologies.
