Prof. Fatin Samara received her Ph.D. in Environmental And Analytical Chemistry at The State University of New York-University at Buffalo, United States, in 2007. She completed her post-doctoral work at the Environmental Protection Agency Air Pollution Prevention and Control Division (APPCD), National Risk Management Research Laboratory in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, USA. She is the Co-Chair of the UAE Climate Change Research Network, established by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment. Her research aims to solve local environmental problems related to environmental quality, toxicity assessments, waste-to-energy conversion, sustainability, ecosystem degradation, and climate change.
Prof. Adil K. Al-Tamimi is a Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, College of Engineering, The American University of Sharjah. He received his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, Scotland (1990). His research areas include 3D Concrete Printing, Green Buildings, High-Performance Concrete Design & Applications in Harsh Environment, Sustainability/Green Buildings Design, Safety, and Composite Materials.
