Chuan-Jie Zhang received his Ph.D. in Crop Science and Biotechnology from Seoul National University in 2015. He completed his postdoctoral research at the University of Connecticut. He joined Yangzhou University in 2019 as a master’s supervisor and associate professor. His research interests include (1) environmental biosafety assessment of transgenic forage (pollen diffusion aerodynamics, pollen–insect interactions) and (2) research on the assessment, development and utilization of excellent grass germplasm resources with stress resistance (camelina, chia, etc.). Since taking up his current position, he has presided over the National Natural Science Foundation of China’s general projects and was selected for the Jiangsu Province “Double Innovation Doctor” and “Green Yang Golden Phoenix” talent programs. He has published many research papers as the first author or corresponding author in mainstream journals in this field and participated in the compilation of two planning textbooks on State Forestry and Grass
