Francisco R. Castillo-Soria received a bachelor's and an MSc degree in telecommunications engineering from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional in Mexico City in 1999 and 2004, respectively, and
a PhD in electronics and telecommunications from the CICESE Research Center in Ensenada, Mexico, in 2015. Since 2017, he has been an associate professor at the Faculty of Science of the UASLP, Mexico. His main lines of research are the optimization of MIMO wireless
communications, signal processing, spatial/index modulation, multi-user MIMO-OFDM detection, and machine learning-assisted communication systems.
