Dr. Sihai Hu obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Environmental Engineering, and his PhD degree in Aerospace Science and Technology, from Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2006, 2009, and 2016, respectively. From 2009 to 2012, he worked as an Assistant Laboratory Technician at the Department of Applied Chemistry, School of Science, Northwestern Polytechnical University. In 2012, he was promoted to assistant researcher. His main research directions are the environmental chemical behavior of organic-inorganic complex pollution and chemical-biological combined control technology, remediation methods of heavy metal contaminated soil, and application research of advanced oxidation technology in pollution control and remediation.
Dr. Ran Sun obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Resources and Environmental Sciences, and her Master’s and PhD degrees in Microbiology, from Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University, in 2007, 2009, and 2015, respectively. Then, from 2018 to 2021, she served as a Postdoctoral Fellow majoring in Materials Science and Engineering at the School of Ecology and Environment, Northwestern Polytechnical University. Besides, she participated in the joint training program and served as a Research Assistant at the University of California, Riverside from 2009 to 2011. From 2015 to 2016, she worked as an Assistant Researcher at the Institute of Microbiology, Jiangxi Academy of Sciences. Since 2017, she has been working at the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Northwestern Polytechnical University, and she is currently an Associate Researcher.
