Dr. Karl Ezra Pilario is an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering and the Artificial Intelligence Graduate Program at the University of the Philippines, Diliman. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemical Engineering at the University of the Philippines in 2012 and 2015, respectively. He completed his PhD studies in Energy and Power at Cranfield University in 2020. His current research interests include industrial applications of data analytics and machine learning, including process monitoring. He was a recipient of the Limcaoco Young Instructor Award for teaching excellence, undergraduate advising, and mentoring in academic competitions in 2015.
