Prof. Dr. Heping Xie is now a Distinguished Professor at Shenzhen University and Director of the Institute of Deep Earth Science and Green Energy of Shenzhen University. He earned, from the China University of
Mining and Technology, an MS in Engineering Mechanics (1984) and a PhD in Pharmacokinetics (1987). He has been awarded the Third Prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress, and the Second Prize of National Natural Science. His research results have been published in more than 10 monographs in English and Chinese and more than 500 papers. His research topics mainly include: rock mechanics, damage mechanics, fractal rock mechanics, fracture mechanics, and green energy.
Dr. Cunbao Li received a B.S. in civil engineering and a Ph.D. in geotechnical engineering from Sichuan University in 2012 and 2017, respectively. Currently, he is a Distinguished Researcher and Assistant Professor at the College of Civil and Transportation Engineering, Shenzhen University, China. He is a member of the Chinese Coal Society and the Chinese Society of Rock Mechanics and Engineering. He was selected for the Young Talent Support Project of the China Association for Science and Technology. He is engaged in the theoretical research and technological development of key rock mechanics in deep energy development and has formed a set of research systems combining laboratory testing, theoretical modeling, and numerical development and application. In particular, he has made valuable research results in microplane theory, experimental testing techniques for rocks or rock masses, rock damage mechanics and energy principles, etc.
