Author Biographies

Shayan Sepahvand received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Petroleum University of Technology, Ahwaz, Iran, in 2016, and his M.A.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on control systems from Shahid Beheshti University, Tehran, Iran, in 2019. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), Toronto, ON, Canada. His research focuses on control systems, robotics, visual servoing, and deep learning.
Niloufar Amiri is a PhD candidate in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University. Her research focuses on continuum robotics, dynamic modeling, aerial manipulation, and vision-based control, aiming to advance the field of autonomous systems. Niloufar holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Shahid Beheshti University, where she conducted her thesis on the dynamic modeling and control of a worm-like robot, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Razi University. She has published several papers in esteemed journals and conferences, reflecting her commitment to innovative research in robotics.
