Dong Sun earned his Doctor of Engineering degree at the University of Kitakyushu, Japan. He is currently an associate professor at the School of Architecture and Planning at Shenyang Jianzhu University and a visiting scholar at the LBNL Laboratory in Berkeley, CA. Dr. Sun is an expert in the protection assessment of historical and cultural villages and towns in Liaoning Province and a member of the Urban Renewal Committee of Liaoning Province.
