Dr. Yancheng Zhang is an Associate Professor at the Laboratory CEMEF, Mines Paristech, France. He completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from INSA Lyon (LaMCoS) in 2011, and earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University of China in 2005 and 2008, respectively. His research interests include additive manufacturing, the characterization of material constitutive laws at high temperatures, model reduction, and nanocomposites.
Dr. Charles-André Gandin is Research Director with the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique at Mines Paris, PSL University, France, where he coordinates the team Metallurgy, Mechanics, Structures and Solidification. His research focuses on the modeling of solidification processes in materials science, especially metallic alloys, with a focus on microstructure simulation, phase transformations, thermodynamic calculations and thermomechanics.
