Dr. Hua Daniel Xu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at East Carolina University. He received his Master’s in Public Affairs from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs of the University of Texas at Austin and his Ph.D. in Public Administration from the School of Public Affairs & Administration of Rutgers University. He has taught in graduate programs in public administration and policy and his scholarly work has appeared in dozens of journals and books. His areas of research interest include health policy and public health, government financial management and budgeting, collaborative and e-governance, rural and community development, and public management. Previously, he has worked at the Alabama Department of Public Health, the U.S. Farm Credit Administration, and the State Council Leading Group Office for Poverty Reduction and Rural Development in Beijing, China.
