Prof. Yongjun Qin is a professor at the School of Civil
Engineering and Architecture, Xinjiang University, Urumqi, China. He received
his B.S. at the Xinjiang Institute of Technology, Industrial and Civil
Construction Engineering from 1990 to 1994 and his Masters degree at the Xi’an
University of Architecture and Technology, Industrial Engineering from 2005 to
2008. He was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Architecture and
Engineering, Xinjiang Institute of Technology from 1994 to 2000, a Lecturer at
the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Xinjiang University from 2000
to 2009 and an Associate Professor at the School of Civil Engineering and
Architecture, Xinjiang University from 2009 to 2016. His research is focused on
monitoring technology and risk control in rail transit engineering and on the
evaluation of the stability of underground engineering surrounding rocks. He
was awarded the Urumqi subway construction risk early warning and control
theory and its application, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Science and
Technology Department, Science and Technology Progress Second Prize in 2022.
