Oscar Salvador Barrera-Vazquez received his PhD in Infectomics and Molecular Pathogenesis from the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute in 2018. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at National Autonomous University of Mexico and received his postdoctoral degree in Pharmacology from the University in 2022. In 2023, he moved to the National Autonomous University of Mexico and was promoted to Academic Professor. His research topics mainly include pharmacology, network pharmacology, biology systems, virology, drug design and discovery, chemoinformatics, senescence, aging, phytopharmacology, and natural products.
