Prof. Dr. Pengshan Zhao received his B.S. degree in Biotechnology and Ph.D. degree in Cell Biology from Lanzhou University in 2006 and 2011, respectively. From 2011 to 2016, he was a researcher at the Cold and Arid Regions Environmental and Engineering Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences. From 2015 to 2016, he was a visiting scholar at the Department of Plant Molecular Biology, University of Lausanne, Switzerland. Currently, he is a researcher and doctoral supervisor at the Northwest Institute of
Eco-Environment and Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was selected as an outstanding member of the Young Innovation Promotion Association of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2022 and Longyuan Young Talents in 2023. His current main research interests are plant physiology and ecology and molecular genetics.
