Alexandr Tardo received his M.S. degree in Telecommunications Engineering in 2015 from University of
Catania. In 2017, he started to deal with the design of cloud-based and service-oriented architectures as well as IoT networks for distributed monitoring applications in the maritime domain. His expertise covers a wide range of domains such as system and data integration, machine-to-machine communications, C-ITS, solutions for data lakes management, and distributed ledger technologies for supply chain optimization. From 2018, he has led R&D as well as technological transfer activities in the Livorno seaport on behalf of CNIT, by coordinating technical boards and EU-founded projects.
Paolo Pagano is Area Leader at the National Inter-University Consortium for Telecommunications (CNIT) in Pisa, Italy. From October 2015, he has also been the Director of the CNIT laboratory on advanced sensing and networking in sea ports in Livorno. His research activities have a specific focus on IoT and Mobile Networks. He is responsible for public and private research grants in the domain of Intelligent Transport Systems and Smart Plants. He is participating (on behalf of CNIT) to the ETSI standardization committees for Intelligent Transportation and Maritime Digitalization. From September 2018, he has been a member of the Working Group “Smart Roads”, Technical Committee on Autonomous Driving at the World Road Association. From June 2021, he has been the vice-chairman of the ETSI ISG CDM (European Common Information Sharing Environment Service and Data Model).
