Patricija
Nikolaus graduated from the University of Rijeka in 1997 as a teacher of
mathematics and physics. In 2020, she became a doctoral student of the Postgraduate
University Study Programme in Educational Research in Natural and Technical
Sciences at the Faculty of Science, University of Split. She has been working
as a high school physics teacher for 25 years and as a physics assistant at the
Faculty of Engineering, University of Rijeka for two years. She was a member of
the task force for the elaboration of tasks for the State Matura in Physics in
Croatia. She is a recipient of the Ivan Filipović State Award for her
contribution to secondary education and a three-time recipient of the Ministry of
Science and Education Award. Her area of interest is working with gifted
students and their misconceptions related to modern physics. She is a member of
the Croatian Interdisciplinary Society.
