Wenying Zhang is a professor at the College of Agriculture, Yangtze University. He is the director of the Crop Stress Resistance Technology Research Center of Yangtze University and the director of the Crop Science Postdoctoral Research Station. He serves as an associate editor of Plant Physiology at Frontiers in Plant Science and a reviewer for Plant Growth Regulation, BMC Plant Biology, Crop Journal, Journal of Plant Physiology, etc. As the first inventor, he has obtained 11 nationally authorized patents and 1 computer software copyright. His research interests are barley functional genomes and the mechanism of crop abiotic stress resistance.
