Zongxiang Lu received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 1998 and 2002, respectively. Since 2002, he has worked at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, where he is currently a Tenured Professor of Electrical Engineering. He has been the principal investigator for more than 40 academic and industrial projects. He is also the author or co-author of 12 books, 38 international journal papers, and 120 Chinese journal papers on power system reliability, wind power integration, microgrid operation control, smart grid, and so on. His research interests include large-scale wind power/PV station integration analysis and control, energy and electricity strategy planning, power system reliability, DG, and microgrid. He is a Fellow of the IET and a Senior Member of the IEEE and CSEE.
