Prof. Tianhe Xu is a distinguished professor and doctoral supervisor at Shandong University, and the PI of the satellite navigation and remote sensing team. He is a national high-level talent plan for scientific and technological innovation and a chief scientist of the national key research and development plan. He received his Bachelor’s degree in geodesy from the PLA College of Surveying and Mapping in 1998, obtained his Master’s and PhD degrees in geodesy and surveying engineering from the PLA Information Engineering University in 2001 and 2004, respectively. From 2008 to 2010, he entered the Postdoctoral Mobile Station of Surveying Science and Technology at Wuhan University to conduct research. In 2009, he was jointly funded by the China Scholarship Council and the German Helmholtz Association to study abroad at the German Geoscience Research Center, and returned to China on schedule in 2011. He is also the director of Weihai Satellite Navigation and Remote Sensing Key Laboratory, a member of the Academic Committee of the National Key Laboratory of Geographic Information Engineering, vice chairman of the Beidou Marine Application Professional Committee of the China Satellite Navigation and Positioning Association, vice chairman of the Youth Work Committee of the China Satellite Navigation and Positioning Association, etc.
