Author Biographies

Tomaž Berlec, Ph.D. is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ljubljana. He earned his M.Sc. degree in 2003 and Ph.D. degree in 2008 in the field of production planning and control. His research fields include lean production, agile and leagile production, simulation, project management, material and information flow optimization, the lead time optimisation of operations and orders, and production planning and control.
Aljoša Peperko, Ph.D. is an associate professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ljubljana. He earned his Ph.D. degree in 2008 at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. In 2003, he started as a young researcher at the Institute of Mathematics, Physics and Mechanics. In 2009, he started as a teaching assistent at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. He is an expert in several areas of mathematics including operator theory, max algebra, spectral theory, geometric means in mathematics, graph theory, and applications of mathematics in physics. His expertise is interdisciplinary, combining theoretical research in matrix theory, operator theory, and algebra with applications in physics and graph theory.
