Prof. Young received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in
mechanical engineering from the Ohio State University, Columbus, in 1988 and
1991, respectively. He was a Teaching Assistant at the Department of Mechanical
Engineering, National Taiwan University, 1985-1986, and a Research Assistant at
the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Ohio State University, 1987-1991.
During 1991-1997, Prof. Young was an Associate Professor at the Department of
Aeronautics and Astronautics, National Cheng-Kung University. Currently, Prof.
Young is a Professor in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at the
National Chung-Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan. Prof. Young’s research
interests are in the areas of composite manufacturing, plastic processing, and
bamboo fiber composites.
