Dr. Ling Song is an associate researcher at the Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Shanxi Agricultural University in 2006. Then, she earned her Master’s Degree and Ph.D. from China Agricultural University in 2008 and 2012, respectively. From 2016 to 2017, she was a Visiting Scholar at the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology. In 2012, she joined Chengdu Mountain Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, as an assistant researcher. Since 2020, she has been an associate researcher. She has presided over the National Natural Science Foundation Youth Fund, the Ministry of Science and Technology National Key R&D Program sub-project, Western Light, and other projects, and participated in the National Natural Science Foundation key projects, CAS BR, Ministry of Science and Technology 973, Ministry of Environmental Protection Water Special Project, and other projects as a key personnel. She has published nearly 20 papers in top journals in research fields. Her main research directions are agricultural ammonia emission reduction, regional nitrogen assessment, and nutrient cycling and management.
