Huiping Liu is a medicinal biologist with a strong interest in multidisciplinary research, especially in the fields of pharmacology, oncology, and drug development. Her background in biochemistry and medicinal chemistry allows her to understand the mechanisms of disease development from different angles and explore innovative therapeutic strategies for diseases with unmet medical needs. She obtained her PhD degree from the University of Queensland in 2021 and currently holds the positions of lecturer and early-career researcher at Yantai University.
Gangqiang Yang is a trained chemical biologist with over 10 years of experience in chemical biology. He received his PhD degree in 2014 from Tohoku University in Japan. He has a strong background in chemistry and cell biology. His research focuses on target identification of bioactive natural products and their derivatives and understanding the mechanism of compound action, translating the findings into clinical applications. He is an internationally recognised expert in chemical biology.
Hongbo Wang is a pioneer in the fields of pharmacology, cancer biology, and chemistry. He is now dean of the School of Pharmacy and vice-president of Yantai University. His background in drug discovery and development with working experience in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as his interdisciplinary training in the fields of pharmacology, oncology, and chemistry, assist him in characterising highly potent and selective compounds, studying their interactions with human physiology, and clinical translation for medical innovations in cancer and inflammatory diseases.
