Susana Aideé González-Chávez is a
full-time professor and researcher in the PABIOM Laboratory of the Faculty of
Medicine and Biomedical Sciences of the Autonomous University of Chihuahua,
Mexico. She is a Bacteriologist and Parasitologist Chemist and holds a Master of
Science in Biotechnology and a Doctorate of Science in Physical Culture. Her
research work focuses on the description of the pathogenic molecular processes
of inflammatory and infectious diseases in their epidemiological study in
Chihuahua. She belongs to the National System of Researchers at level 2. She
obtained the distinction of “Rotary Recognition of Merit” in the category of
Science and Technology seeks to recognize people who have carried out
altruistic work for the benefit of society. She has contributed substantially
to studying the epidemiology of rheumatic diseases in Chihuahua, both in
the Mestizo and Rarámuri populations. She is responsible for this research group, the only one in the region focused on the clinical and
epidemiological description of these patients.
