Qiansheng Hu obtained an M.S. from the School of Public Health at Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in 1997 and a Ph.D. from Tongji Medical College School of Public Health at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2003. He is now a lecturer, associate professor, and professor in the Department of Environmental Health of the Faculty of Preventive Medicine in the School of Public Health at Sun Yat-sen University. The main projects he has undertaken or participated in include research on the mechanism of brain development damage in children caused by environmental lead exposure, research on the role of synaptic structural plasticity in the repair of impairment of learning and memory induced by lead, and a mechanism study on the role of polysialic acid in lead neuro-developmental toxicity and its detoxification. He has served as a member of the Neurotoxicology Committee of the Chinese Society of Toxicology, a director of the Guangdong Preventive Medicine Association, a deputy director and secretary of the Environmental Medicine Committee of the Guangdong Environmental Science Society, and a reviewer for Neurotoxicology, PlosONE, Biomedical and Environmental Sciences, and Health Research. His research interests are environment and health and neurotoxicology.

Qing Wang received a BS from the School of Public Health of Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in 2002 and a Ph.D. from the School of Public Health of Sun Yat-sen University in 2007. He is now the Vice Dean of the School of Public Health at Sun Yat-sen University and a professor in the Department of Toxicology at the School of Public Health of Sun Yat-sen University. At the same time, he is the director of the Environmental Epigenetics Branch of the Chinese Society of Environmental Mutagens and a deputy director of the Public Health Physician Branch of the Guangdong Medical Association. Previously, he was the deputy director of the 1st Youth Committee of the Guangdong Toxicology Society, a youth editorial member of the 7th Editorial Committee of the Journal of Chinese Public Health, and an editorial member of the 7th Editorial Committee of the Journal of Carcinogenesis, Teratogenesis and Mutation. His main research interests are food safety and environmental health.
