Jinguo Wang is a professor at the School of Earth Sciences and Engineering, Hohai University. He graduated from Hohai University with a bachelor’s in hydrogeology and engineering geology in 1996. He obtained a master’s degree and a doctorate in geological engineering and hydrology and water resources from Hohai University in 1999 and 2002, respectively. He has been working at Hohai University since 2002. He has served as the vice dean and dean of the School of Earth Sciences and Engineering and is currently the director of the Science and Technology Department. He is mainly engaged in teaching and scientific research in geological engineering, hydrogeology, and groundwater pollution mechanisms and evaluation. He has successively undertaken more than 40 major hydrogeological technical research projects in the National Key R&D Program “Causes and Treatment Technologies of Site Soil Pollution”, the National Natural Science Foundation, and major national projects (Three Gorges, Xiluodu, Baihetan, Dianzhong Water Diversion, etc.). He has won one second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, one first prize at the provincial and ministerial level, and four second prizes. He has been approved as the chief of the National Key R&D Program, the young and middle-aged academic leader of Jiangsu Province’s “333 Project”, and the Jiangsu Province’s “Six Talents” Peak Program.
