Dr. Evangelia Papadimitriou is a professor of molecular pharmacology at the Department of Pharmacy, University of Patras, Greece. She studied pharmacy at the University of Patras and completed her doctoral thesis at the Laboratory of Pharmacology of the Medical Department of the University of Patras, in collaboration with the University of Wisconsin Medical School, Milwaukee Clinical Campus, USA. She has worked as a postdoctoral fellow until 1998, when she was appointed as a lecturer at the Department of Pharmacy of the University of Patras. She teaches pharmacology and molecular pharmacology at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and her research interests are related to the study of angiogenesis and tumor growth in vivo and in vitro, using pharmacological and genetic approaches to elucidate the mechanisms involved and assess the anti-angiogenic and anti-tumor activity of new drugs and/or nanoparticles.
