Manuela Oliveira completed her Ph.D. in Biology in 2009 at the University of Porto Faculty of Sciences (FCUP, Porto). Among scientific articles and congress proceedings, she published 62 papers and two book chapters, totaling 2320 citations (h index = 26, Google Scholar data from 07/06/24). Her research topics are related to microbiology, molecular biology, and metagenomics. She currently holds a position as an Invited Assistant Professor at CESPU-Cooperativa de Ensino Superior Politécnico e Universitário.
