Jorge Julian Moreno Rubio received a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from the Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia, Sogamoso, Colombia, in 2001, followed by a M.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá, Colombia, in 2006, and a Ph.D. degree in Electronic Devices from the Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy, in 2012. He is currently a Senior Scientist with the Millimeter Wave Technologies Research Unit at Silicon Austria Labs GmbH, Linz, Austria. Additionally, he holds the position of Associate Professor within the Electronics Department, and the Grupo de Investigación en Telecomunicaciones GINTEL at the Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia. His research focuses on the design of high-efficiency power amplifiers, encompassing both hybrid and monolithic microwave integrated circuits. Dr. Moreno Rubio was a recipient of the international Doctoral Studies Grant in 2008 from the Departamento Administrativo de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación de Colombia--COLCIENCIAS, and the European Commission Marie Curie Fellowship (2019–2021) while conducting research at the Centre for High Frequency Engineering of Cardiff University, Cardiff, U.K.
