Mostafa Sayahkarajy is a researcher of the Biomechatronics
group at TU-Ilmenau, Germany. He studied his B.S. and M.Sc. in
mechanical engineering, at IUST in 1999 and 2002. He fulfilled double Ph.D. degrees
in electrical engineering and biomedical engineering from UTM in 2014 and 2022.
His research interests are robotics and biomechatronic systems.
Prof. Dr. Hartmut Witte is a Full Professor of Biomechatronics at Technische Universität Ilmenau (Germany) since 2002. He studied Mechanical Engineering at Universität Dortmund (Germany) starting in 1979 and received an University Diploma degree in 1984. In the next steps, at Ruhr-Universität Bochum (Germany) he studied Medicine, was appointed “Physician” in 1990 and “Specialist in Anatomy” in 1995, and received his Doctorate degree in 1992. From 1990 to 1997, he worked in Holger Preuschoft's Group of Functional Morphology at Bochum University, and acquired a Habilitation degree in Functional Anatomy and Biomechanics in 1998. From 1997 to 2002, he was Associate Professor at Martin Fischer's Institute of Systematic Zoology and Evolutionary Biology at Jena University. His research interests widened from Functional Morphology via Biomechanics to Biomimetics and Biomechatronics. Among several memberships in scientific societies and committees, in 2007 he has been elected a member of the Saxonian Academy of Sciences at Leipzig (founded in 1846).
