Prof. Qiaoli Xie graduated from Chongqing University (Ph.D. in biological science/engineering, 2014.12). After the completion of postdoctoral research at Cornell University and Xi'an Jiaotong University, she joined Chongqing University (2019.04) to carry out teaching/research. She has presided over one project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and seven projects supported by the Chongqing Natural Science Foundation, the Chongqing Innovation Project for Returned Overseas Chinese, and received first-class funding from China Postdoctoral Foundation, etc. Subjects taught by Dr. Qiaoli Xie include "Cell and Genetic Engineering Experimental Technology", "GMO Testing and Safety Evaluation", "Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Experimental Technology", etc. She was recognized as an innovative individual "Huang Shanglian Academician" of Chongqing University and won the Chongqing City and Chongqing University Distinguished Doctoral Thesis awards. Particularly, she is now a member of the Distinguished Graduate Supervisor Team in Chongqing City, and the team members have supervised a number of students who won the Chongqing City and Chongqing University Distinguished Doctoral Thesis awards. Her research interests are plant physiology and plant molecular biology; metabolism and synthetic biology; and genetic engineering.
Prof. Guoping Chen graduated from Nottingham University (Ph.D. in biology, 1998.06). After the completion of postdoctoral research at Sheffield University, Nottingham University, and Oxford University, he joined Chongqing University (2002.09) to carry out teaching/research. He has presided over one National High-tech R&D Program (863 Program) supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China, six projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and ten projects supported by the Ministry of Education, Chongqing Science and Technology Commission. Moreover, he is the vice-chairman of the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Society of Chongqing. His research interests are the molecular regulation mechanism of plant growth and development and fruit ripening; the molecular regulation mechanism of plant morphogenesis; and the molecular regulation mechanism of biosynthesis of plant pigments.
Prof. Zongli Hu graduated from Chongqing University (Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, 2005.06). Later, she joined Chongqing University (2005.10) to carry out teaching/research. She has presided over one project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and four projects supported by the Ministry of Education, Chongqing Science and Technology Commission. She has published over 130 papers in SCI journals such as Plant Physiology, Journal of  Experimental  Botany, Plant and Cell Physiology, etc. (containing one ESI paper). Many papers were highlighted by media such as plant research, etc. Moreover, she has applied for and obtained 17 patents for inventions. Her research interests are the study of the molecular mechanism of plant growth and development and fruit ripening; the study of the molecular mechanism of resistance genes and stresses; and applied research of gene engineering and protein expression and purification.
