Shilong Zhao is an Assistant Professor in the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Sun Yat-sen University. He also serves as a member of the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics. He received both his Bachelor’s degree and Ph.D. from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, in 2013 and 2020, respectively. He completed his visiting studies at the University of Strathclyde (2018) and joint training at Queen's University Belfast (2019). His main research areas include (1) key technology research into combined turbine/stroke engines; (2) the dynamic combustion direction of adaptive variable cycle engines; (3) the new concept of
clean combustion and renewable energy utilization; and (4) research on CFD numerical simulation calculation methods.
