Prof. Dr. Željko Krznarić is a Full Professor of Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Hepatology and Nutrition at the University of Zagreb, and the Head of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and Clinical Nutrition. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb in 1984 and completed a specialist exam in internal medicine in 1993. In 1997, he published a doctoral dissertation. In addition, he is a member of the European Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, the American Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, the International Council for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, etc. He conducts research in Gastroenterology. Their current project is 'Assessment of Microbiota, Inflammatory Markers, Nutritional, and Endocrinological Status in IBD Patients; Acronym: MINUTE for IBD'.
