Anjitha Divakaran is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in artificial intelligence
convergence with Chonnam National University, South Korea. She has been a Research
Intern with IIT Guwahati, India, with a focus on bioinformatics and
computational biology. Her research interests include emotional recognition,
natural language processing, and empathy computing.
Hyung-Jeong Yang received B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees
from Chonbuk National University, South Korea. She is currently a Professor
at the Department of Artificial Intelligence Convergence, Chonnam National
University, Gwangju, South Korea. Her main research interests include
multimedia data mining, medical data analysis, social network service data
mining, and video data understanding.
Seung-Won Kim received B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Tasmania in 2008
and 2010, respectively, and a Ph.D. degree from the HIT Laboratory NZ, New
Zealand, in 2016, under the supervision of Prof. M. Billinghurst. During the
Ph.D. study, he developed a remote collaboration system supporting stabilized
sketch and pointer cues. He is currently a Professor at the Department of
Artificial Intelligence Convergence, Chonnam National University, South Korea.
His research interests include remote collaboration using augmented virtual
communication cues and sharing experiences between distance users.
Ji-Eun Shin received B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees from Yonsei University, South
Korea. She is currently a Professor at the Department of Psychology, Chonnam
National University. Her research interests include human emotions and social
behaviors from a functional perspective, aiming to understand how these aspects
contribute to human adaptation and social interaction.
Soo Hyung Kim received a B.S. degree in computer engineering from Seoul National
University in 1986 and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from
the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in 1988 and 1993,
respectively. Since 1997, he has been a Professor at the Department of
Artificial Intelligence Convergence, Chonnam National University, South Korea.
His research interests include pattern recognition, document image processing,
medical image processing, and ubiquitous computing.
