Dr. Dharambir K. Sanghera is the Director of the
Genetic Epidemiology Laboratory at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences
Center (OUHSC). She is the Director and Principal Investigator of the Sikh

are (1) to identify the underlying molecular mechanisms associated with
cardiovascular disorders; (2) to improve the classification of the disease
process by identifying genome-wide patterns associated with ethnic variation
and disease subtypes and (3) to discover new therapeutic targets which can
inform the design of early prevention and treatment therapy among disparate
populations.
