Prof. Yong Yang is the vice president of China Pharmaceutical University, director of the Institute of Translational Medicine, director of the Research Center for Safety Evaluation of New Drugs, a professor (second class), and doctoral supervisor. He was selected for the National Special Support Program for High-level Talents, the "One Million Project National Talents" and the "Innovative Talent Promotion Program for Young and Middle-aged Leading Talents in Science and Technology Innovation" of the Ministry of Science and Technology and was awarded the title of "Young and Middle-aged Experts with Outstanding Contributions". His main research interests are tumor pathogenesis research and new drug creation.
Professor Harvest F. Gu currently works at the Laboratory of Molecular Medicine, School of Basic Medicine and Clinical Pharmacy, China Pharmaceutical University, Nanjing, China. Previously, he has worked at the Rolf Luft Center for Diabetes Research and Center for Molecular Medicine, Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden for nearly 30 years. His research is mainly focused on genetics, epigenetics and the pathophysiology of diabetes, diabetic nephropathy, and obesity.
