Prof. Dr. Makoto Kobayashi is a professor at the Institute of Medicine, University of Tsukuba. He completed his master’s studies in chemistry at the Division of Science and Engineering, Keio University, and his PhD studies in genetics at the Division of Life Science, The Graduate University for Advanced Studies. His research mainly focuses on general medical chemistry, food science, molecular biology, developmental biology, cell biology, and science education.
