Matthew R. G. Brown is an adjunct professor at the Department of Computing Science, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Dr. Brown is also the owner and consultant of Puzzle Rock Coding Inc. and co-founder of RETAIN Labs Medical Inc. Dr. Brown received a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Western Ontario and served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alberta. Dr. Brown works on diagnostic and prognostic clinical tools for mental illness based on combining MRI and fMRI brain scanning with machine learning (artificial intelligence).
