Dr. Md. Arifur Rahman Khan is a Research Scientist in the Department of Plant and Soil Science at Texas Tech University, Texas, USA. He is also an agronomist affiliated with the Department of Agronomy at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU) in Gazipur, Bangladesh. Born in 1981 in the Mymensingh, Bangladesh, Dr. Khan has made significant contributions to the field of agronomy and crop physiology through his extensive research, teaching, and professional experience. Dr. Khan earned his B.Sc. in Agriculture (Honors) in 2005 and his M.S. in Agronomy in 2008 from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh. In recognition of his academic excellence, he was awarded the Ministry of Science and Technology Fellowship by the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to pursue a Ph.D. in Agronomy, which he successfully completed in 2015. In 2017, Dr. Khan received the prestigious Indian Science and Research Fellowship from the Government of India, allowing him to undertake postdoctoral research at the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. His research has spanned various aspects of plant phenotyping and the physiological responses of crops to abiotic stress. He is proficient in hybridization techniques, superior crop line management, nutrient management of crops, and methodologies for climate change adaptation in plants. Dr. Khan has led several research projects, addressing critical issues in agronomy, plant physiology, and climate change.

Dr. Mohammad Golam Mostofa is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Michigan State University, USA. He received his BSc and MS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He also obtained his MS in Agriculture from Kagawa University (2012) and PhD in Plant and Environmental Sciences from Ehime University (2015), Japan, under a Monbukagakusho scholarship. He was a Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at BSMRAU, Bangladesh. He joined BSMRAU as a Lecturer in 2007 and was promoted to Assistant and Associate Professor in 2010 and 2015, respectively. His research orients on understanding physiological and molecular mechanisms linked to phytohormones and signaling molecules controlled pathways for making plants more resilient to environmental stress factors using integrated plant system biology approaches.
