Marina Krichevskaya is an Associate Professor at the
Department of Materials and Environmental Technology, Tallinn University of
Technology (TalTech), Tallinn, Estonia. She graduated from TalTech as a Chemical and Environmental Engineer in 1996 and acquired her master degree in Chemical Engineering in 1996 at Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT), Finland. She obtained a Ph.D. in Environmental and Chemical Engineering at TalTech in 2003. She won the 2020 State Research Award in Technical Sciences. She is a board member of the Tallinn University of Technology Employees’ Union. Her
research interests are advanced oxidation processes for the degradation of air and water pollutants, including photocatalytic oxidation.
Sergei Preis, born on 31 May 1959, graduated from
Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech), Estonia, as a Chemical Engineer in
1981 and acquired his doctoral degrees in Environmental and Chemical
Engineering in 1988 at TalTech and in 2001 at Lappeenranta University of
Technology (LUT), respectively. He worked for TalTech from 1981 to 2000 as
Junior Scientist, Senior Scientist, and Head of Laboratory, then for LUT from
2001 to 2014 as Senior Scientist and Associate Professor. From 2015 to 2017 he
worked as Chair Professor at South China University of Technology. Since 2018,
Sergei Preis has been a Professor at TalTech, heading the Laboratory of
Environmental Technology. Author of 121 peer-reviewed scientific publications,
Sergei Preis successfully supervised ten doctoral studies. His research
interests cover advanced oxidation processes in water and air treatment,
including electric discharge plasma application, photocatalysis, and other
technologies.
Juri Bolobajev obtained a Ph.D. in chemical and
materials technology from Tallinn University of Technology in 2016. From 2009
to 2012, he was head of the fertilizers analyses sector at the Agricultural
Research Centre. He has been employed at the Tallinn University of Technology,
Estonia since 2012, where he obtained the Senior Lecturer position in 2021. He
won the Tallinn University of Technology Lecturer of the Year 2022. His
research interests are catalysts, environmentally hazardous substances, environmental
technology, and pollution control.
