Prof. Dr. Gregor Novljan is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Consultant, and Head of the Dialysis and Transplant Unit at the Department of Nephrology, Children's Hospital, University Medical Centre Ljubljana. He received his M.D. in 1988 at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. In 1995, he finished a residency program in Pediatrics. In 2003, he received his Doctor of Science degree. After a Specialist Clinical Fellowship at the Institute of Child Health, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, London, United Kingdom, in 1995, he participated in establishing the first chronic renal replacement program for children in Slovenia. He is a member of the International Pediatric Nephrology Association, European Society for Pediatric Nephrology, Slovenian Society of Nephrology, Slovenian Society of Pediatrics, Slovenian Medical Chamber, Slovenian Working Group for Dialysis, European Renal Association/European Dialysis and Transplant Association, CERTAIN Registry, and ERKNet. His research interests include chronic kidney disease, dialysis, and renal transplantation. He authored and coauthored many articles published in international scientific journals with IF.
