YONG-GUK KIM received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Korea University, Seoul, South Korea, in 1982 and 1984, respectively, and his Ph.D. in computational vision from the University of Cambridge, U.K., in 1997. His work experience includes with LG Electronics and Korea Telecom (KT). From 1995 to 1996, he was a Research Fellow at the Helmholtz Robotics Institute, Utrecht, The Netherlands. From 1998 to 2001, he was a Research Associate with the Smith–Kettlewell Vision Institute, San Francisco, USA. He was the Director of a start-up incubator and the Dean of international affairs at Sejong University, Seoul. Since 2001, he has been with the Department of Computer Engineering, at Sejong University, where he is currently a Full Professor. His research areas are facial expression recognition, driver drowsiness detection, fake emotion detection, human head pose estimation, and vision-based autonomous drone.
Pavan Kumar B N is currently an Assistant Professor in the CSE Group at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Sri City, India. He completed his PhD at Chung Ang University in Seoul. His research focuses on Human--Robot Interaction, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Virtual Reality, Eye Tracking, Human-Computer Interaction, Sensor Fusion, and Robotics. Prior to his current role, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, USA (NRC Research Associate), and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Sejong University, Seoul, South Korea.
