Prof. Dr. Sheng Chen received his bachelor’s degree from Guangxi Normal University in 2003, master’s degree from the same university in 2006, and doctorate from the Institute of Remote Sensing Applications of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2009. From August 2009 to July 2015, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Advanced Radar Research Center/Hydrometeorological Remote Sensing Laboratory at the University of Oklahoma. He is currently a doctoral supervisor at the Northwest Institute of Eco-Environment and Resources of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. His main research interests include remote sensing, hydrology, spatial analysis, hydrological modeling, satellite image processing, satellite image analysis, environmental impact assessment, geospatial science, geoinformation, and digital mapping.
