Hongping Hu received his Bachelor’s degree from Nanchang University in 1996, and his Master’s degree and Ph.D. from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2003 and 2006, respectively. Currently, he is a Professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He is the Secretary General of the Hubei Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics. He is interested in metamaterials, phoxonic (including phononic and photonic) crystals, optomechanical coupling, vibration isolation, and piezoelectric structures and devices.
