Prof. Dr. Hakdong Shin is an Associate Professor, and
Researcher in Food Science and Biotechnology at the Carbohydrate Bioproduct
Research Center, Sejong University. He completed his BS.c. studies in Food
Science and Biotechnology at Seoul National University (2008), MS.c. and Ph.D.
studies in Food Science and Biotechnology at Seoul National University (2013),
and has been awarded Outstanding Research Award from Brain Korea 21 Project,
Department of Agricultural Biotechnology, Seoul National University (2012),
Outstanding Research Award from Center for Food and Bioconvergence, Seoul
National University (2013), and Nestlé Phage Award for best bacteriophage paper
in 2014 from American Society for Microbiology (ASM) (2014). He was a
Postdoctoral Fellow at New York University Medical Center in 2014. His research
interests include Human Microbiome, Probiotics, and Foodborne Pathogens.
