Liqin Du currently works as an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas, USA. She received her Postdoctoral Fellow at the McDermott Center for Human Growth and Development, UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, Dallas, TX, in 2009; her Ph.D. in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Kentucky in 2004; her Master of Medicine from Shanghai Second Medical University, Shanghai, China in 1998; and her Bachelor of Medicine (MD equivalent) from Shanghai Medical University, Shanghai, China, in 1992. Her research interests include 1. cell differentiation in childhood tumorigenesis; 2. differentiation therapy; 3. natural products as anti-cancer agents; 4. synthetic small-molecular compounds as anti-cancer agents; and 5. non-coding RNAs in tumorigenesis and cancer therapy.
