Prof. Dr. Fei Kang is currently a professor and deputy Dean at the School of Hydraulic Engineering of Dalian University of Technology.
He received his bachelor’s degree in water conservancy and hydropower engineering in 2003 and his Ph.D. in disaster prevention and mitigation engineering and protection engineering in 2009 from the Dalian University of Technology. From 2009 to 2011, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Dalian University of Technology. In addition, he was a visiting scholar at the School of Civil Engineering at Purdue University from 2013 to 2014. His research topics mainly include safety monitoring and health diagnosis of hydraulic structures, geotechnical engineering, numerical analysis and reliability analysis and computational
intelligence and its engineering applications.
