Author Biographies

Dr Pavithra Chandramouli received her B.E. (Civil Engineering) from Anna University, M.Tech in Structural Engineering from SRMIST, and  PhD Civil Engg. (2023) from BSACIST. She currently works as an Assistant Professor at SRM Institute of Science and Technology. Her research area includes composite structures, geopolymers, FRP–concrete–steel, deep learning, and ANNs in concrete and structural applications.
Er. Mohamed Riyaaz N A received his M.Tech dgree in Structural Engineering from the B. S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai in July 2020. He received his B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering from Velammal Engineering College, Chennai in 2019 under Anna University. His area of interest includes concrete technology; maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation of structures; and design and analysis of reinforced concrete structures.
Sathish Kumar Veerappan is a Ramanujan Fellow at the National Institute of Technology Puducherry. He received his B.E. in Civil Engineering (2010) and M.E. in Construction Engineering and Management (2012) from Anna University and a PhD from the National Institute of Technology Calicut (2019). Before joining as a Ramanujan Fellow, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the University of Split, Croatia, on a research project financed by EU funds. He has a total teaching experience of 4 years as an Assistant Professor and is a member of various professional bodies like ASCE, ICT, ICI, IE, ISTE, ICE, etc. His research interests include sustainable concrete, geopolymer concrete, permeable concrete, fibre-reinforced concrete, repair and rehabilitation of structures, and durability of concrete structures.
Dr. J. Revathy is a Professor of Civil Engineering at the B.S.Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. She completed her PhD studies in Structural Engineering at Annamalai University. She has completed four sponsored R&D projects. She has published more than 45 peer-reviewed papers in various journals. She is a recipient of the Young Scientist Award, DST, New Delhi; Vishwakarma Award in 2013 instituted by the Construction Industry Development Council, New Delhi; Best Citizens of India Award in 2013 instituted by the International Publishing House, New Delhi; and Best Faculty Award in 2019 by B. S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai. Her research interests include sustainable construction materials, rehabilitation of structures, nanotechnology in concrete, and machine learning applications in concrete technology and structural engineering.
Dr. Gajalakshmi Pandulu, Professor of Civil Engineering at B.S.Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technpology, graduated with a B.E. in Civil Engineering from Madras University in 2000, followed by an M.Tech in Structural Engineering at IIT Madras in 2005. In 2012, she obtained her Ph.D. from Anna University. She received an Outstanding Concrete Teacher award for the year 2023 from the Indian Concrete Institute. Her recent accomplishments include the completion of R&D projects on seismic retrofitting of structures funded by the Ministry of Earth Sciences and AICTE, New Delhi, as well as the development of eco-friendly concrete supported by the Tamil Nadu State Council of Science and Technology. She has conducted research on diverse concrete types, including self-compacting concrete, geopolymer concrete, lightweight concrete, bioconcrete, textile sludge concrete, etc., as well as on the behaviour of reinforced concrete and composite structural members under accidental loading. She has 100 publications in national and international journals and conferences. Her research has garnered 296 citations on Google Scholar, and she holds an H index of 10. Additionally, she has filed two patents, one of which has been granted. She holds professional memberships as a life member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and the Indian Concrete Institute (ICI).
